Here are
some of the Frequently Asked Questions I receive
from other Phil Collins fans:
I
have received many emails from other Phil Collins
fans since I started this site, so I thought I would
answer some of them....
Q.
Is there a story or a history behind the
song "In The Air Tonight"? I have heard
the rumor that he saw someone drowning and did nothing
to help them. Is this correct? What is "In
The Air Tonight" about?
A: No. Phil has said on many occasions that he just
writes what he is thinking or feeling at the time
and then elaborates on it to develop a song. Phil
said: "When someone says, 'Now, tell me Phil,
what is it really about?', I say I don't know. I
have no idea because I made it up as I went along
... I didn't know what I was singing about. I mean
obviously, when you're going through a divorce,
all kinds of things run through your mind. There's
anger, there's bitterness, there's hurt, you know.
And all that stuff is in In The Air Tonight. Menace,
you know. Finally losing your temper at the end
when the drums come in."

which briefly shows his boat, Phil Collins' boat
is named "Fil D 'Or II".
Q: How many records has Phil Collins sold
during his career?
A: He has sold over 250 million records over the
span of his solo career and his career with Genesis.
Q : How did I start this website?
A: I was formerly employed with a Search Engine
Optimization company in Toledo Ohio. We were each
given a project to create a website around something
that interests us. I decided that since I have been
a fan of Phil Collins most of my life that I would
create a site dedicated to him. At first it started
out to be a biography and discography page and has
just sort of taken on a life of it's own since I
started it. I hope to be able to add more as Phil's
career continues.
If you have questions that you feel Phil's fans
would benefit from by posting them here, please

I will post questions as time allows.
