2, 2006: Phil Collins Romances New York Anchor Woman Phil Collins has reportedly got a new girlfriend
- New York news anchor woman Dana Tyler. The Channel
2 journalist was spotted showing the Two Hearts
singer - who recently split from his third wife,
Orianne - around her office on Tuesday night between
bulletins. A co-worker told New York Post newspaper:
"She was beaming. This is the happiest I've
seen her.
"They've been keeping it quiet for several
weeks, but it's out now."
The pair met when Tyler interviewed the former
Genesis frontman ahead the opening of his Broadway
musical, Tarzan, last month. However, the workplace
tour was not the first time Collins, 55, and Tyler
have been spotted together - they have also been
seen playing golf in Connecticut.
The singer announced he was separating from Orianne
back in March. The pair - who married in 1999 -
have two children together. At the time, his publicist,
Mara Buxbaum, revealed: "They are both very
sad that it should come to this, but have as their
priority the welfare and happiness of their children
and are determined to remain friends and be loving
parents to them."
Collins also has a daughter from his second wife,
Jill Taverman, and two more children from his first
marriage to Canadian actress Andrea Bertorelli.
WALT DISNEY RECORDS TO RELEASE THE CAST ALBUM FROM
TARZAN Features music and lyrics by Oscar® and
six-time GRAMMY® Award winner PHIL COLLINS
"Gorgeous and imaginative. It's the flying
apes and title character that people have come to
see, and the show doesn't disappoint. Phil Collins'
music includes some terrific songs." -- Frank
Scheck, The Hollywood Reporter
"Sensational! The most visually enthralling
show since 'The Lion King!'" -- Richard Zoglin,
Time Magazine
(June 15, 2006) The cast album for TARZAN®,
the new musical presented by Disney Theatrical Productions,
which opened on Broadway on May 10th, 2006, will
be released by Walt Disney Records on June 27. Oscar®
and six-time GRAMMY® Award winner Phil Collins
has written the music and lyrics, expanding his
songs for Disney's film into the complete theatre
score. The
album also features a special treat - Collins performs
"Everything That I Am," one of the nine
new songs he penned for the musical.
More than 90 years ago, Edgar Rice Burroughs introduced
TARZAN® to the world in the October 1912 issue
of "All Story Magazine." The character
was an instant sensation. Since then, he has been
featured in 26 authorized novels and more than 44
motion pictures, including Disney's 1999 film.
Phil Collins composed five songs for the 1999 film,
"Disney's TARZAN®," including "Two
Worlds, One Family," "Strangers Like Me,"
and "You'll Be In My Heart," which won
the 2000 Academy Award® for Song of the Year,
spent 10 weeks as #1 on the Billboard adult contemporary
chart, and was #1 in 14 countries. The soundtrack
went double platinum, while the film went on to
instant international success, grossing $447 million
worldwide, with subsequent DVD sales in excess of
13 million units.
Collins, who makes his Broadway songwriting debut
with TARZAN®, has written music and lyrics for
nine new songs for the Broadway production, in addition
to his film score.
Although he has directed in his native Ireland,
Bob Crowley makes his Broadway directorial debut
with TARZAN®. Crowley, whose recent work includes
his Tony Award®-winning scenery for Aida and
his acclaimed design on Mary Poppins in London,
has been praised for creating expressionistic, poetic
environments for his productions, and brings that
depth of artistry to the world of TARZAN®. Tony
Award®-winner David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly),
has written the book, adapted from the screenplay
by Tab Murphy, Bob Tzudiker and Noni White and based
on the novel, Tarzan of the Apes, by Edgar Rice
Burroughs.
Josh Strickland makes his Broadway debut as Tarzan.
The production also stars Jenn Gambatese (All Shook
Up , Hairspray ) as Jane, Merle Dandridge (Rent,
Jesus Christ Superstar, Aida) as Kala, Shuler Hensley
(Tony®, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and
Olivier Award winner for his performance as Jud
Fry in Oklahoma!) as Kerchak, Chester Gregory II
(Hairspray, The Jackie Wilson Story) as Terk, Timothy
Jerome (Disney's Beauty and the Beast , Tony®
and Drama Desk nominated for Me and My Girl) as
Professor Porter and Donnie Keshawarz (Taboo, TVs
"Lost," "24" and "The Sopranos")
as Clayton. Daniel Manche and Alex Rutherford will
alternate in the role of Young Tarzan.
TARZAN® currently is in production at the
Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street) in
New York City. For ticket information, please contact
Ticketmaster at 212-307-4747 or www.ticketmaster.com
or visit www.tarzanonbroadway.com. The Walt Disney

10, 2006: Phil Collins Opens Broadway "Tarzan"
NEW YORK: If the cast of Phil
Collins' Broadway musical don't like what they're
singing, he'll actually listen to their ideas.
Collins says he went in the first day to the Broadway
production of "Tarzan" and told them he
wasn't a diva and if they want to change the music,
he was available to them.
Collins says he feels obligated to be involved in
the production.
He says Elton John, by contrast, does it the "painless
way." As Collins puts it, John just says, "Here's
the music. See you opening night."

NEW YORK - Splitsville for Phil Collins and his
wife, Orianne. The British rock star and his Swiss-born
wife, who were married in 1999, announced in a joint
statement Wednesday that they've separated.
They have two sons, Nicholas, 4, and Matthew, 1.

beginning of the year and both cite the fact that
they have been growing apart for some time now and
this has put too much pressure on their relationship,"
the statement said.

They are both very sad that it should come to this
